Dr. Derrick Pylant has a passion for serving others through the practice of dentistry and the specialty of periodontics. Through a personalized and detailed approach, Dr. Derrick is able to assist people in understanding their oral health and establish and maintain a healthy foundation for the future. He is able to provide his patients with the latest, evidence based, conservative dental care through his constant pursuit of continuing education and advanced training. He is a board-certified periodontist and dental implant specialist and proudly operates a private practice limited to periodontics and dental implants in Bedford, Texas with his father, Dr. George Pylant.

Dr. Derrick Pylant has presented on topics in periodontics, bone augmentation, guided dental implant placement, and complex rehabilitation nationally. His areas of professional interest include the treatment and management of periodontal disease, minimally invasive surgical techniques, occlusion and soft and hard tissue augmentation, and evidence based principles. Demonstrating his commitment to evidence based principles and advancements in dental technology, Dr. Pylant completed his research thesis on the topic of "Accuracy of 3D Printed Implant Surgical Guides: A Comparison of Stereolithographic and Digital Light Processing Technologies".
